OSI d.o.o worked with Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration to implement a new generation of electronic identification system
In 2015 company OSI d.o.o. cooperated with Ministry of Public Administration, IT services Directorate, in the establishment of the central authentication system SI-CAS, which enables central authentication for needs of Public Administration e-gov services. Thereby they achieved a unified electronic identification for all electronic systems for e-gov portal, higher level of personal data security, higher level of trust in e-services and connectivity with e-system of other EU member states. Crucial part of SI-CAS is also a much friendlier use of Public Administration e-gov services for users.
OSI did planning, development and establishment of SI-CAS IDP solution, which is a part of a wider identification system SI-CAS. Its purpose is to provide and manage identities, based on user name or e-mail address, user password and optional one time password, which is created and sent as a text message on a mobile phone. This provides a secure two-factor authentication.
The solution provides more friendly use of Public Administration e-gov services, because users can now access all applications with one electronic identity. SI-CAS IDP provides a base for use of remote electronic signature, independently from device and location.
SI-CAS IDP is based on an OSI.ID, which is a complete solution for managing user identity, user rights, login mechanisms and audit trails for internal and external users. For more information about OSI.ID, visit: https://www.osi.si/en/products/osi-id/.
